Syphan Joins List Of Exhibitors At SC World Congress
27th July 2009, Skipton, UK – Syphan Technologies the emerging leader in multi-tenanted security technology for the high performance data centre has announced that it will be exhibiting at this year’s SC World Congress event in New York (October 11th to 13th).
Syphan is a UK-based network and application security technology business specialising in the 10G, multi-tenant environment, an area of the market where traditional security technologies are unable to meet the high performance demands of the corporate network and the security regulations mandated for PCI, HIPPA and SOX compliance. 10G is rapidly becoming the de facto standard for major campus-based organisations and xSPs offering cloud-based security services, particularly in North America. Syphan is the only vendor capable of meeting both the performance and compliance standards required by this sector of the market.
Syphan is using the exhibition and conference to showcase the ITC220 multi-tenant, integrated threat control appliance as part of a major push into the US market. First launched in April 2009 at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, the company is already in advanced discussions with several major US service providers and enterprise customers, with the first deployments expected in late-summer and are aiming to build on this momentum through its presence at the congress.
The ITC220 is the first network security appliance capable of L7 packet inspection at True 10G line-speed without latency. Designed for the most demanding network environments, the appliance’s unique virtualisation architecture can support up to 500 managed services or 1000 VLAN clients with customised, layered security services including IPS, DDoS mitigation, content control and data leakage prevention capability as standard features. With capacity for up to 50,000 rules, the ITC220 can be dynamically updated and re-armed, with minimal downtime, to provide rapid protection against new threats as they emerge.
As well as targeting the major US enterprise and xSP market, Syphan is aiming to use the exhibition to initiate partnership discussions with systems integrators, security VARs and potential OEM opportunities and is aiming to build a network of channel partners both in the US and across the globe.
The SC World Congress, now in its 2nd Year, is a highly focused security event and is expected to bring together some of the industry’s major technology innovators, security experts and business IT specialists to provide practical answers to questions relating to securing networks and data.
