Syphan Growth Prompts New Office Move

1st December 2008, Skipton, UK – Syphan Technologies, a world-class security technology development company has expanded its operational base at its Skipton HQ to accommodate its expanding development and sales teams. Against the general trend in the UK economy, three-year old Syphan has needed to find additional space as the interest in its groundbreaking security technology continues to increase both in Europe and North America.

The new 2500 sq ft office is close to its original offices on the Broughton Hall estate near Skipton. Located within the estate’s converted Watermill complex, the high-tech offices are designed to support the company’s growth plans for the next 3 to 5 years including the addition of a further 10 specialist technology posts at its head office as well as key business development roles in Europe, the USA and the Asia PAC region.

Syphan works in a highly specialised field of network security and has developed worldleading technology designed to stem the high levels of data security breaches in major enterprises and Government departments. Developed in the UK and partly funded through Yorkshire Forward, the local lead for the UK’s innovation investment programme, the unique technology puts the company at the head of this critical global technology sector.

Over the past twelve months world-wide interest in Syphan’s technology has continued to increase, particularly amongst major organisations that have adopted the latest high-speed Internet connectivity to power their business operations. Companies currently evaluating the technology include large-scale telecoms businesses, major financial institutions and managed security services providers as well as other manufacturers looking for ways to leverage the high speed functionality of the technology within their own network security products.

Commenting on the move Syphan CEO, Pravin Mirchandani said “Whilst companies are scaling back in many areas, regulatory compliance legislation and increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks means that they still need to continue to maintain investment in protecting their corporate data. We have found a way of increasing corporate security without necessarily increasing overhead, which is naturally an appealing proposition for any business”.

Amongst the latest appointments at Syphan are a new VP of Engineering and Head of Sales and Business Development who will play key roles within the senior management team of the company.
