UK Managed Services Expert Strengthens Syphan Board
16th February 2010, Skipton, UK – Syphan Technologies the specialist developer of ultra-high speed network security technology has announced the appointment of John Murray, one of the UK’s leading managed IT services experts, to the board of directors.
John joins Syphan as a Non-Executive Director with over 18 years senior management experience in the IT industry including, most recently, a 10 year period as Chief Technology Officer at Harrogate-based InTechnology plc. One of the UK's largest managed IT services businesses, InTechnology has grown from the ground up to achieve an annual turnover in excess of £45M employing over 200 people across the UK.
During his time at InTechnology John was responsible for building and managing the company's national integrated data and voice communications infrastructure. Linking its four strategically located data centres, the pioneering network provides the high-performance backbone for the delivery of a range of secure data, managed hosting and storage services for some of the country’s major businesses and government departments.
Skipton-based Syphan Technologies, backed by Yorkshire Fund Managers (YFM), specialises in the development of ultra-high speed, multi-tenant network security technology for the high performance data-centre and managed security services sectors. Developed in Yorkshire, Syphan’s patent-pending, world-class technology is attracting major global interest as a platform to meet the growing demand for Cloud-based security services.
