Syphan Announce Major Channel Recruitment Campaign

9th April 2009 Skipton, UK – Syphan Technologies, the emerging name in high-performance network security has announced a major recruitment drive designed to extend its global partner network following the launch of the ITC220, its True10 security appliance.

The ITC220 provides the channel with an opportunity to capitalise on the new security challenges represented by the increased deployment of ultra-high speed networks. Cost reductions and increased availability have resulted in 10G connectivity rapidly becoming the standard in major enterprise and government networks supporting high band-width applications such as VoIP and multimedia streaming. Designed to be the first technology capable of delivering total packet inspection at True 10G performance rates through the box with negligible performance degradation, the ITC220 is seen as an ideal platform on which to base security services in the cloud as well as for the enterprise network environment.

Syphan’s ITC220 is a highly scalable and extensible security appliance that uses patent-pending, multi-dimensional parallel processing and FPGA technology to deliver lightning-fast integrated threat-protection including firewall, IPS, DDoS, data leakage prevention and URL content filtering in a single appliance. In addition, Syphan has also built-in a unique virtualisation capability that is scalable to support in excess of 500 individual customer security profiles providing a huge recurring revenue opportunity for MSSPs and large scale hosting companies.

The security-as-a-service sector is widely predicted to see double-digit growth over the next 3 years reaching over £2 billion worldwide by 2012 and is being driven by a range of market factors in addition to the latency overhead associated with current 10G security technologies. Both the need for operational cost reductions in the current economic climate and increased compliance regulations have led to network security managers looking for more flexible threat protection options, which the ITC220 can deliver.

Syphan Sales Director Jon Garside said "We see a huge opportunity for service providers to rapidly grow their security business even in the current economic climate. We are looking for a select group of visionary partners who recognise the potential and who we can work with to capitalise on this opportunity. We will provide them with all the necessary support to ensure that they can get these services market-ready as quickly as possible."

The ITC220’s FPGA technology enables live remote software re-configuration to help combat new attack vectors as they emerge. With capacity to process up to 50,000 rules and configurable in clusters of up to 4 stateful appliances, the ITC220 represents an excellent high-yield investment opportunity.
